Anaheim, California is the most populous city in Orange County, best known as the location of the Disneyland Resort.
Anaheim is a city that is full of life. Its location in the northwestern part of Orange County means that residents can easily access jobs throughout both Los Angeles and Orange County. Lots of families and young professionals live in the city, attracted by good jobs, lower housing costs and above-average public schools. Esperanza High School and Canyon High School both get an A rating on Niche.com.
Disneyland is not only an amusement park with themed rides, it’s also a dining and shopping destination. Downtown Disney has both national brands and Disney merchandise, along with lots of restaurants and cafes and a pedestrian friendly layout.
In addition to Disneyland, Anaheim is home to two major sports teams: the Los Angeles Angels baseball team and the Anaheim Ducks ice hockey team. The Anaheim Convention Center hosts many conferences, including the NAMM Show for professional music equipment, BlizzCon for video game development, and VidCon, the online video tech conference.
Anaheim Hills, on the eastern end of the city, has several miles of biking and hiking trails. The city also has lots of parks, from mini parks, which are three acres or smaller, to five to 13 acre neighborhood parks to community parks that are up to 27 acres. The recreation department has sports leagues for adults and kids, as well as a wide range of enrichment classes. Golfers enjoy both Anaheim Hills Golf Course and Dad Miller Golf Course.
Anaheim has lots to offer on its own and is also centrally located and connected to the rest of the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area. The 5, 91, 57, 55, and 241 freeways run through the city, taking drivers to work and play.
